Getting started with the Microsoft Entra ID integration
The Microsoft Entra ID integration (formerly Azure Active Directory) enables you to keep your Substly user base up to date by synchronizing users and groups from your Microsoft 365 environment. It also allows Substly to automatically monitor SaaS usage for users logging in to services with their work email using Single Sign-On (SSO).
Once connected, you choose exactly which users and groups you want to sync—giving you full control and flexibility.
Why connect Microsoft Entra ID to Substly?
✅ Ensure your user list in Substly is always up to date – No more spreadsheets or manual data entry. Users and groups are automatically kept in sync with your organization’s directory.
✅ Gain visibility into real usage – Substly automatically monitors if users access services using their Microsoft work email via SSO, helping you spot unused tools, shadow IT, and opportunities to optimize licensing.
✅ Segment data easily – Use groups (like departments or locations) synced from Microsoft Entra ID to filter usage and spend data in Substly.
✅ Simplify onboarding – New hires can be added to Substly automatically as soon as they appear in your Microsoft 365 environment.
