In this example, administrators can deploy the Substly extension across all Google Workspace users with Cloud-managed Chrome Browsers by configuring the "Policy for Extension" feature.

Prerequisites:

Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that you have:

  1. Google Workspace Super Admin Access: Confirm that you have super administrative access to your Google Workspace account.

  2. Cloud-managed Chrome Browser: Ensure that Chrome browser management is turned on. Find additional information on Googles Help Center.

Setup:

  1. Log in to your Google Workspace Admin Console using your administrator credentials.
  2. In the Admin Console, go to "Chrome browser" and select "Apps & Extensions".
  3. Navigate to "Groups" or "Organizational Units", depending on your configuration.
  4. Select the group or unit for which you would like to install the extension.
  5. Add the Substly Extension from the "Chrome Web Store".
  6. Once installed, select "Force install" under "Installation policy."
  7. Go to the Substly app and access the "Substly Extension -> Settings" tab. Copy the Client Key.
  8. Enter the JSON value {"ClientKey":{"Value":"YOUR-CLIENT-KEY"}}.
  9. Done! The extension is now installed on the Chrome browsers associated with the email addresses of your Substly users.
