Managing your Service Settings

You can further manage your services through different settings. The Managed vs Unmanaged setting allows you to determine how Substly determines connections/access between users and services.

Managed

If you choose the Managed option, you will manually define the connections between users and services. This means that you have full control over determining who has access to which services within your organization. You can easily add or remove users from services as needed.

Unmanaged

On the other hand, if you choose the Unmanaged option, Substly will automatically determine these connections through usage tracking. This means that Substly will analyze the usage of each service and determine which users have access based on that data. This option is great for organizations that utilize the Substly Extension, as it saves time and effort in manually managing these connections.

How to Change Your Service Setting

Now that you understand the difference between Managed and Unmanaged, let's go over how to change your service setting.

  • Select a Service

  • Click on Manage Service, then Settings

  • Navigate to Managed vs Unmanaged service and choose your preference

That's it! Your service setting has now been changed and will take effect immediately.

Conclusion

In conclusion, managing your service settings is an important aspect of using Substly. Whether you choose the Managed or Unmanaged option, you now have a better understanding of what each option means and how to change your setting.
